Same dials on vintage refurbs from India?

    Hi there,

I´ve seen alot of different brands with the same dial on ebay, the seller sometimes states them as "original" but I doublt that Oris, Titus etc. has the exact same "sunburst" dial with the same type of text...
But I have seen a few of them go for as "low" as $10, and the movements seems to be original, maybe it´s worth atleast $10 incl shipping to get a good working swiss mechanical movement.

    Pfa a few examples

    Any thoughts?

He is just making (reworking) dials as he pleases and sticking them on old various movements
Frankens - stay clear. Worth nothing.
The humidity and temp in India really distresses metal dials and even SS cases
So I see a lot of bad dials and hence re-furbished junk.

    Regards

My word, the lettering on those dials really is awful!! Any decent watchmaker such as Oris, Solvil & Titus or even Camy would be ashamed of such junk. There is no way that those could be anything but redials.....

Not only that, but these watches look so similar, I'd want to check the movements, too. My guess is that they may be late model HMT or some other Indian made mechanical redialed to look like a Swiss watch.
