    A. Schild AS 1361

I'm considering a watch just now that has this movement in it and was wondering how it stands in terms of quality of the movement and longevity. From google it seems to be a decent movement used in some good watches. It is attractive to me in that even though it is an old movement parts seem readily available should the worst happen.

As far as I can gather it was first produced in around 1950 but I can't find any info on when it stopped being used.

Have one in my Nivrel N105.001, nicely finished and a good average movement, no sweat for my watchmaker.

The 1361 was Adolf Schild's first rotor automatic movement generation. We have had quite a few here so it was obviously popular enough. One nice feature according to Ranfft is that the manual winding was decoupled from the automatic system which reduces wear on the auto mechanism while winding manually.
