    Moved to new thread.

I would suggest a Landeron 48 calibre but I'm terrible at Chrono ID.

One of these in not as good condition sold for $1000 early this year.
I dont know where your research has got you but suggest you spend some time on
    Various brands - Regatta Yachttimers
your watch is under section various . You will see many similar dials under different brands.

    Very nice

That's a Landeron 48 alright, a 51 would have thinner arms of the Y-shaped bridge, whatever is that part called.
A regatta timer usually sells at a bit of a premium, but $1000? For a Landeron? Whoever sells these for that sort of money, seems to be in a rather pressing need of consulting a psychiatrist.
Rare watch? What, is there a resource that says how many of these were made? As long as no source gives that, this belongs in the same category as pretty much any other Landeron chrono out there, and there are millions of these.

    Re: Seaboard Yacht Help

Lack of knowledge of prices, a frequent - shall we say - inconvenience troubling the buyers, is something that they only find out post factum. That said, after spending a lot. Which cannot be really their fault, can it? So not the one who buys, but the one who sells- for instance, let's say you wanna get a Trabant. You don't know a thing about Trabant, and yet you wanna buy it. So there you find a fellow who asks...ummm... OK, let it be $10000. That's greed. So who's in need of books, and who's in need of some pills? Lack of knowledge is a disadvantage, but cured easily. There is no cure for being a greedy and obnoxious person though. And I have seen some of these on my flea market recons. Believe me, when a fella says that this redialled Doxa costs $700, I have every reason to suspect that he stopped taking his meds waaay too early...

Information is open for everyone. And it's not water in a desert, if You can pay $1000, why is the seller guilty for that?...

Overpricing with full awareness of the fact of overpricing, which effectively increases the average prices for dirt-common watches, that's why.

It's not the sellers who dictate prices :) It's the buyers who can and want and pay them :)
Just look at hondikee effect. Whatever they throw on that site becomes MUST GET WHATEVER PRICE :D
