Second Vintage Acquistion - Patek 2525

Psyched about this one - Patek 2525 from 1953! Now I'm hooked on vintage watches. Here's the latest:

And here's the set side by side - Patek with Omega ref 2872:

    Thanks for looking!

Psyched about the first pair of Patek Philppe watches and getting hooked on vintages watches, is not so far away from being psyched about the first pair of Timex dustproof timepieces and getting hooked to vintage watches. It's just about adding a pair of zeros to the budget-figure.

    IMO a redial.

I believe so, or otherwise restored in some way. I'm no expert on Patek dials but it was represented to me that the dial was restored. Definitely don't think I could afford a NOS!

Sorry for the newb question, but is that exactly what it sounds like? Someone sent it for service and they replaced the dial?

And if so is that a typical practice for Patek? I imagine it reduces the value in some way to replace it. The value issue doesn't particularly matter to me since I'm not looking at it as some kind of investment (I just like it and want to wear it), but I'm curious.

redial is when someone cleans off and repaints original dial
Can You upload non blurry photos of this part

The value, well some people just do not care if its crisp and original just like from factory
