    Seiko Gyro Marvel question

Many sources say that the first automatic in production by Seiko was the Gyro Marvel. However, many sources also say that the first auto was produced in 1959 in Japan. I have run across some Japanese language sources that clearly refer to the Gyro as from 1955.:-S

Does anyone have a clearer source for this part of the Seiko-Seikosha history?

    Re: Seiko Gyro Marvel question

Old post i know.....In any case the Seiko Gyro Marvel was made in 1959 with calibre 290 and in my opinion is the real first Seiko Automatic Movement all made in house, in fact the previous Seiko model was based on the AS 1382 Swiss movement.
