Seiko Pogue - 6139 under questions

Hello gentlemen. I recently tumbled upon this classic, the yellow pogue (not THE pogue though, I think). It was my birthday and I thought why not, and I pulled the trigger. The watch is on the way to me right now as I type.

I then did some research about the notorious pogues sales on the forums and YouTube. And though the watch in question looks alright to me, it sometimes bothers me to have made an impulse buy and the possibility of regretting it later.

I request you expert gentlemen to look at this, and please shed your thoughts.

About the watch in question :
All the functions work. Chronograph resets at 12. Day date push works. Chapter ring rotates (I was amazed by this, looked too good for the condition of the watch). Watch has wear marks all over. Movt looks a bit rusty, but could do away with a good service(in my opinion)

Seller's remarks : all original. Case not polished nothing after market.

I'm attaching the pics along. Please help me up with this watch, gents and rid me of the tension tagged along with it.

    Much thanks,
    Dr Nagesh

    Seiko 6139 servicing options

Hello guys, I recently acquired a 6139 yellow pogue as a birthday gift to myself (:P)

And with the help of the forums, I even was confirmed it was all authentic except for the bracelet that it came with. (That itself is from a bullhead, if that helps you)

Could you guys please suggest me some good hands that I could trust to get my pogue's servicing done. And the movement actually needs a good service since it's not in a great shape.

    Will await your responses.

    Thanks,
    Nagesh.

Adrian Sellick at Vintage Time Australia is a well-respected vintage Seiko expert (https://www.vintagetimeaustralia.com). He can be a bit slow to respond to email, but is extremely knowledgeable and his pricing is fair in my experience.

Spencer Klein (https://www.kleinvintagewatchrepair.com) is also renowned and he is very responsive, but was not taking on new work when I last contacted him, although that may have changed. He also has some interesting and educational youtube videos.

The third person that I know of (but have not interacted with directly) would be Duncan Hewitt at https://thewatchbloke.co.uk.

Both Adrian and Spencer have commissioned the manufacture of parts that are needed to restore vintage Seikos, including gaskets and crystals.

I'm sure there are hundreds of other watchmakers very capable of working on your watch, but I happen to know of these three because they have established international reputations for repairing and restoring vintage Seiko.

I do have left a mail to Klein's mailbox and expecting a reply from him.

The other two gentlemen, not yet. But will do right away and ask for more details. Thank you so much for the reference!

And I have gathered from forum reads , about a WUS member "seikopsycho2" Tom and contacted him too. He has told me he'd get back to me in a while.

So expecting replies from multiple parties.

    Thanks Dan!
