Setting the date on a Tissot Seastar cal. 781...

I just purchased the afore mentioned timepiece, and I noticed only one postion on the winding crown. Is there a safe method to "quick-setting" the date on the manual-wind movement? I know there are some automatics that can be back-wound from 2 or 3 a.m. to accomplish this. But I didn't want to try it without first getting some advice from those of you with more hands-on experience. Photos to follow.

    Thanks!

    Hi there,

the Tissot 781 has neither date nor automatic. Find out the real calibre number, and enter it in the search box here:

If its the handwind 781 like you mentioned just go and wind your hands till the date just changes then go back to about 7-9 oclock and then change date again and so and so.
