Show Me Your Watches from 1950.

1950 is the year I was born. Anyone have any suggestions for watches made in 1950 in the 36-38mm range? ( Pictures would be great. )

    Thanks
    Rick

Here's a good sampling (and you'll probably find them rather affordable):

Thank you. What a surprise to find my late Fathers Director listed in 1950.

The Bulovas are also easy to date exactly to the year. A 1950 watch will have "L0" stamped on the back and also on the movement. "L1" indicates 1951, etc.

Closest I can get is 1953. Gallet MultiChron 12, with Excelsior Park EP40 movement.

One of my favorite Roamers, from 1950 and a hair under 38mm. Probably not the most helpful post, as I've only ever seen this one.

I have another, I will post later - sitting in an airport atm.

I think the Excelsior Park EP40 is an underrated movement. The feel of operation in this caliber matches any V72 that I have.

This was definitely in the Golden Age of movements.

Gruens were fairly popular although expensive then. Like this, then priced, $200. Executive 14k and diamonds Curvex. Plenty around yet today. Fairly distinctive. My best condition one. With 1940 long case.
