A slight understatement by a dealer about a Gallet?

How would you describe this case-back?

It certainly "has some signs of use and wear." In the same way The Parthenon has some signs of use and wear.

Doesn't look too bad and as stated, not very deep. Of course when something is magnified 50x it always looks worse than it is. Lol

I agree, it's not deep. Just funny-looking. I think there may be an interesting story there about a kid with a pocket knife and an angry father.

I agree, that's fixable. I hope you've negotiated an appropriate discount for the 'street art'.

Still, as long as the movement is clean, it will be a fantastic part of your collection!

Agree with Daniel. However you have to be comfortable with fixing/polishing it......

It does not look too bad. It could be polished out but truth be told, most of the time it will never been seen as it is on the case back

In my case, if i bought it i would be putting it on a NATO so I would never see it anyway

average condition at best, cut at least 35 to 40% of the price and the fact that watch wasn't overhauled. Hands have some oxydation which makes me think that the movement must have rust or some oxydation as well
