When I started collecting watches it was not my intent to collect French brands but, it sure seems to be the majority of my collection now.
Every time I do research on a French brand I'll come across a thread our old friend "John87300" did. Just last month I posted a "Mortima" on a thread John had written, and before that the two "Lov" watches I have, so when I found this Kody I knew John had done some research on it, so what better place to show it off than here?!
If you haven't already, and you get a chance, go to the beginning of this thread for more on the Kody brand. He did such a fine write up.
Now, my new to me: Late 60's early 70's Kody Dive.
Just arrived in mail and after some cleaning and polishing I think she is a beauty!
The Red dial is really something, very clean and when the light hits it, it has some dark ruby tones to it.
My wife said, if it weren't so big for her she would were it.
I was surprised at the weight of this watch much heavier than I thought it would be.
Sadly, I don't have the correct case remover tool to get the back off or I would of included a movement photo.
I think she is driven by a Lorsa P75A. I will update when I find out.
I would not be surprised to find that this is the original band.
The previous owner must of been a painter, there was A LOT of paint splatter all over it. So far she is keeping good time.
Thanks again John for the write up of this obscure and very interesting brand.

What a good looking watch! New to you?! Seems like new to anyone (i.e. NOS, or New, Old Stock). But then, you write of a previous owner.....
