    Son's First Wristshot

Much to my great delight, my boy has taken an interest in watches.

After nosing through my cache for a bit, this vintage beauty caught his eye.

Solid steel case, original silvered dial and signed crown, the kid has good taste...

At 30mm, this Mido Multifort Powerwind is a perfect size for his eleven-year-old wrist.

Only odd thing is he's a lefty and prefers to sport it on his right wrist. I called blasphemy on that, but to no avail, the boy has a mind of his own.

If he becomes a helicopter pilot and sits in the right-hand seat, he'll find he can look at it while manipulating the collective.

    Good to know, thanks!

I'll let him know that a career in helicopter aviation might be an avenue worth exploring.

Good looking watch, he is still learning so may one day place it on the left wrist.

Isn't that the correct wrist for a lefty?

I'm right handed and wear on my left wrist

I would think most don't wear watches on their dominant hand to avoid damaging it

Might be a rule of thumb..

Righty wears on left and lefty wears on right. But it is not the golden rule. I am a lefty that wears my watches on my left. I don’t march to anyone’s tune but me own, and that tune can be funky at times.

Yeah, I think that's pretty standard. I was just teasing him because it looks really different from what I'm used to seeing around the house. He's our only lefty.

Great looking watch, and good taste indeed.

I'm lefty and wear the watch on my right wrist. Of course, I wish sometimes it was socially acceptable to wear a watch on each wrist .... a lot of nice watches out there, and with only one at a time, that's just a shame
