    South Bend parts resource?

Does anyone know of a good South Bend parts resource? I've got a 1st 229 The Studebaker that I hate to see not running. It needs a double roller cap-jeweled pallet fork.

Any help would be highly appreciated!

If you can afford a spares movement then that`s what i would buy, this site has direct links to current ebay auctions all you need do is type in your movement seriall number and any pocket watches in the same grade will be linked to.............https://pocketwatchdatabase.com/sear...mber/southbend

Thanks, I've been trying to keep an eye out , and your suggestion is the only one I've come up with so far, but I would hate to take one from another restorable movement.

Also, these can be pricey to buy if I'm only needing one part.

I'd be much more likely to find a decent price on a donor 227, probably. Does anyone know if a pallet fork from a 227 will fit a 229? I have no idea.

    Thanks again for any help.

Good luck with you quest, and pardon my ignorance on South Bend watches they sound like a rarer breed than your Elgin`s and Waltham`s and in higher price bracket, something i overlooked, hope you score the part you need. The radial finishing on the plates of yours looks cool, btw.
