    Laughing Strange pocket chronograph

Hi guys..i found this pocket chronograph...but until now i have no idea about the year of production...what kind of machine is inside...and what was the purpose of the red scale... No markings on the dial.
    The watch runs perfectly...reset perfectly.
Case is "gunmetal" ...diamter 5,4 cm without the crown...original steel "blue" hands, also the glass is tick...i thing the original one.
    Enjoy!

After cleaning carefully the dial looks like this

    The machine is

    What a lovely piece
The red scale which carries onto black numerals, at first I thought was a TACHOMETER scale in miles per hour (Hm), but it the wrong way round, in other words it goes from 5 MPH to 275 MPH and it should be the other way!
So I guess its a TELEMETER scale which measures miles based on speed of light versus speed of sound.
But i never saw a chronograph telemeter scale go to 275 miles.

    But that is my guess.
    Lovely piece

    STOP PRESS
It surely is a TACHOMETER scale starting at 300 MPH-->275MPH then degrading down.
Does the chrono centre hand turn anticlockwise??

I will try looking up the movement

But does not matter if miles, meters or hecto meters.
The scale is the wrong way round. It goes from slow to fast.
I think its a Landeron Hahn movement

    Yes its mighty interesting.
I am 100% certain its a TACHOMETER scale, but it goes from slow to fast!.

PS late 1800 or early 1900.
It has a pin set, to set hands

    Re: Strange pocket chronograph

I've been looking at these two scales on the dial... And I can make no sense out of it. The black tachometer scale makes sense if the hand indeed turns anticlockwise, but then the red scale can't be a telemeter, since it's also degrading down. Since it turns clockwise, the tachometer doesn't make any sense at all. But then the telemeter does. It's surely the weirdest of all chronographs I've ever seen.
