    Stylex movement

    Hello all.
I've been looking at one of my mother's old watches, and would be grateful for any help that members can offer. The dial and case are unremarkable and unnamed. But the movement is marked "STYLEX" and "Swiss made". However, I can't find any reference to Stylex in Roland Rannft's brilliant database. Does anyone know anything about Stylex movements?

    Thanks

    Re: Stylex movement

    Hi and welcome.

The chances are that Stylex did not make the movement - they just had it stamped on a movement they were buying in. This was and is very common - often on the easily swapped large cog (ratchet wheel). If you post a clear picture of the movement, it's likely someone could identify it.

There are some modern Stylex branded watches about:

other than that, sorry but I've not heard of it.
