    Sully Automatic

I was given an old wristwatch about 30 years ago and since then it's been reposing in a bottom drawer. I'm wondering if anyone might be able to give me an idea of what I might have here and whether or not it's a good watch. It's a functioning 'Sully' super-automatic, 25 jewels, plaque G10 DF (on the gold part of the body), incabloc, waterproof, Swiss-made wristwatch.

    Thank you.

Hi. I don't know much, but Sully was a brand used by FABRIQUE D'HORLOGERIE S.SCHAYA, of Switzerland. Previous examples in here have had A Schild or Eta movements in them. Yours has a Felsa 1560. See:

Plaque G10 means it has 10 micron gold plating (decent).

The movement is a well-regarded, fairly common one, from the 1950's. It is a nice honest watch in clean condition. We don't give valuations in here, but these crop up on ebay fairly frequently and never fetch particularly high prices. Properly serviced it should give you a decent performance.

Please don't PM me to ask for a valuation - I won't attempt one.

Thanks very much for the information. I now have a fuller appreciation of the watch.
