It is a relatively no-name watch from the late forties or fifties with a generic but quite high quality Adolf Schild movement, something from the Cal. 984 series:

No shock protection? Strange for such a late date, no?
Not really strange. Although Incabloc was developed in 1935, shockproofing didn't become nearly universally used until the mid fifties.
