Swiss Waltham with Hong Kong case?

Greetings. I picked this up at a street stall in Saigon a few days ago. A quick look at the face and movement led me to believe that it was a reasonably authentic hand-wind, maybe from the 70s. After some haggling, I got it for US$35.00. I like the feel and look of it, especially the red second hand and it keeps great time. Upon opening it, I saw that the case is marked Waltham Watch Co. Hong Kong Case. Have the more experienced among you out there seen this before? Thanks!Name: Face.jpg

    Hi!

A nice Swiss Waltham, congrats! Movement is an AS/Standard 1941 or 51, dependant from the size.
I´m not an expert for Waltham, but this is a Swiss import Waltham from end of 1960s, beginning 1970s and at that time, many Swiss producers started using SS cases from Hongkong, they have good quality and were much cheaper.

Thanks Mike, much appreciated! The nice light feel of the watch is perfect for the hot season, which is upon us with a vengeance here!
(edit) Mike, I see the "Mission Rado" in your signature. I have another Saigon street stall watch, an Exacto, which appears to be an Oceamaster but is not marked as such. It appears to be mildly "Franken" but maybe not and I really love the watch. If I post some pics, can you lend an opinion? Thanks in advance!
