Question Those calibres signed VENUS but are not chronograph ones

Do they have any relation to the company that made the famous Venus chronograph calibres? I saw one that was a basic subseconds calibre from a watch that looked like it was from the 1960's. It was pink gilt and signed VENUS.

Re: Those calibres signed VENUS but are not chronograph ones

    1. The ebaucherie (movement manufacturer) Venus of Münster was known for making more than chronograph movements. Most notably the wrist alarm calibres (Cals. 230-232) but also other complications like a grande date movement (Cal. 221 - in chronograph version, Cal. 211) or full calendar with moonphase (Cal. 222). Plus "ordinary" manual movements, e.g. Cal. 60.

    2. Watches with "Venus" on the dial have nothing to do with Venus of Münster but were made by Schwarz-Etienne of La Chaux de Fonds

    3. Watches with "Venus" written on the movement are more likely to be associated with 2. than 1. since the ebaucherie Venus used a five pointed star as a logo rather than writing their name on the movement.
