I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on this Hamilton Thinomatic that I think is from 1962 (there is an inscription on the back from an employer to an employee dated 1962, although I know that doesn't necessarily mean that's the year the watch was made).
The watch is at a pretty big antique market and watches aren't really a specialty of the employees so, although they were hospitable, couldn't offer much info on the watch.
The watch is listed for $310 (although apperently there's some room for negotiation)... Do you think that is a fair price, what if I could get it down to $275ish? (I know that appraisals are illegal on here, I don't think asking if a price is fair is though...).
Anyways I'd appreciate your guy's opinions on this watch/transaction, ive always been intersting in owning an old hamilton, a piece of american 'haute horologie' :P and I'd appreciate any info you have to add on the model.
It also comes with all original boxes and I believe the original papers.
