    Tiffany pendant watch identification help

I am considering getting a Tiffany pendant watch for my wife but I can’t find any info on the watch. I was wanting to see if I could get some help.

Very pretty. The movement looks like Vacheron Constantine but these are not my strength. Others will follow with more info.

It does resemble a V&C movement, but I'm not 100% sure and I can't identify it precisely. In any case, it's definitely high quality all around and a very nice piece.

robmict...Hello. Although I do not know this Movement, I reckon I know good quality when I see it: this is Good Quality.

A number of Makers supplied movements to Tiffany...from entry-level, to top-grade. Since this movement is not signed by the maker ( some where signed by Tiffany, and the maker ), it's really 'a thing unto itself'...in other words: it's quality becomes a function of design / materials / fabrication. In this situation, one looks to such elements as: polish on steel work; construction of escapement ( type and fineness of hairspring, method of attaching pallet stones, design of pallet fork, etc, ); and--generally--the aesthetics of it all.

This Tiffany certainly seems to be among the higher grades, and with it's "Guilloche" embellished case, and mined-diamond bezel, I'd say that you're all set! Michael.

Re: Tiffany pendant watch identification help

    Hi there,

the ebauche for the movement (or even the finished movement) is a LeCoultre Calibre 1. This designation doesn't designate a particular calibre, but more a template for a line of calibres made in diameters between 6'' and 19''', and with open-face- and hunter layout:
    bidfun-db Archive: Watch Movements: LeCoultre 1, 14'''

Unfortunately today nobody (even at Tiffany's) knows which movement was finished by which workshop or factory.

    Good luck for 2018,
