    Tiffany portfolio watch

Did some research and found little to no info.on this style watch. My mother worked for Tiffany years ago and received this as a gift from the company. So I do know it is authentic. Do I have a real gem hear or nothing special.

    Lots of sentimental value.

Hi, could you show the inside?
From outside it looks like a cheap quartz watch from the 90s with a cheaply made engraving
    Chaos is my focus

    Re: Tiffany portfolio watch

First of all, it's definitively a quartz watch, presumably from the 1990s (better take the batteries out if the watch is not in operation to avoid the risk of the cell leaking).

Then, it doesn't look very impressive at first sight, but these watches had been relatively expensive and still have a good price on the vintage markets. Not a gem, but not cheap either. In any case, you pay mainly for the name on the dial, more than for the watch itself. But that's often more important, especially on ladies' items, and a quartz watch is anyhow as precise as you need it to be.

If your mother has worked at Tiffany and this was a gift from the company, it won't be crap per se. Tiffany doesn't have any crap. This is a nice and elegant ladies watch, wearable today, but ladies watches are not really collectors items.

We do not make valuations here, as the forum rules (sticky) stipulate, but here you can follow a sale (the watch is in worse condition than yours, the 'white gold' plated is a mistake which can be neglected, it's 'yellow gold' plated, like yours):
