    Timex 25 Date Window Help

I have started to service vintage 60s Timex watches. I am doing the process where the dial and hands are removed and it is cleaned and oiled. Everyone I have done comes back to life. I am having one particular issue with the following watch. It is a model 25 movement with a date window and no matter how hard I try I canít get it to line up in the window. For those that have serviced these before you know that the date ring floats behind the dial. I can get it to lock in place and function but just canít get it lined up. Any ideas what Iím doing wrong?

Re: Timex 25 Date Window Help

    Hi there,

I'm afraid you need to remove the dial and look what's wrong with the mechanism. Unfortunately equipment for minimally invasive surgery on Timex watches is not yet available.
