Today's find -Waltham Sterling Trench- advice

    Hello all,
It has been a few weeks since I posted, mainly because there has been nothing to find, and the weather here has been to darn cold! Anyways, I picked up this rather nice WWI Waltham trench watch,

And it comes in a very nice, and I believe original Sterling Silver Illinois case,

My question is this....I picked up this offset crown case,

Would this be more appropriate to stay in its original case, or should I swap? I have been looking for a top wind movement to put in this offset case, but haven't had any luck. Most of the offset watches are where the crown is at the 12 position. Just seeing what you all think. Thanks in advance.

I would leave the complete watch complete...Finding a movement and dial for the other case might take a couple of months - but really shouldn't be that hard. What size is the offset case designed for?

The case fits an 0 size. I just have to shop around I guess.

I agree, just be a little patient and I'm sure an orphan movement will come along. Then you'll have two fab watches
