He is really Raffles, Master Cracksman!

Nice watches dude, and it looks like the only thing you have to do is wipe them with an oily rag and put the two vintage on leather!

Networking networking networking.... easy to do when you're forced retired due to severe illness.... unfortunately, to be honest.

I've made a lot of friends, done a lot of favors and I get looked after.

I live in a small city so it's easy to build an honorable reputation as the "Watch guy"

    Peace,

Thanks Bro, the two vintage are in pretty rough shape actually although both run well they are in need of some major spa time.

    Re: Today's meanderings

Okay Eterna Matic 1000 is finished.

The crystal was a disaster, sand sand sand, polish polish polish...

Next it was movement inspection, just two tiny drops of oil...photo not taken at the time but you get the spirit of it.

Of course with movements of this caliber well with movements period it will go out to the spa whether by me or it's new owner.

Then it was dial and hands cleaning, case polish and assembly. Installation of a beautiful Hirsch Kansas strap.

Now for today only about a 1.5 secs fast drift over a 14 hour total period so we can assume no more than 3.5 seconds over a 24 hour period. I'm sure it still needs to settle in.

Next it's onto the Accutron bracelet, somehow dude managed to keep the case near mint but laid a fair beating on its bracelet.

    Peace,
    Preston

Yep sandpaper and emory cloth, depending on crystal damage grit ranges from 250 to 1000 all wet sanding and then I finish with pumice then rouge and although at this point it looks excellent I do a final polish with a precious metal cloth I received from my favorite AD as a gift.
