    Today's project arrivals...

I really got to stop buying so many project watches - I have enough to keep me busy for a long long time. These arrived in the post today.

    Left to right,

    1. Longines 18.50 in a solid silver case with a rather interesting (to me) counterweighted lever.

    2. A rather large 37mm Deco Lanco with wonderful lugs. I am rather taken with Lanco at the moment - the 30s-40s models are often large, exuberant, and best of all cheap!

    3. Roamer Calendar (oops the 3rd I have bought in the last 2 months). This one has a better dial, but the movement is a bit nasty. I really gotta stop buying these.

    4. In the middle, a rather interesting Center Second trench watch. Cylinder movement with a missing hairspring and stem. This one will be a challenge, but the dial is nice.

I should take a photo of my projects box - it has grown to epic proportions. I think my judgement is compromised

    Had a little play.

I do like this dial a lot

I suspect the center-second trench watch may be older than I thought - I think the Swiss abandoned dial pins early. Anyone have any info?

On to the Longines (serial number date 1898 or so)...

Seems it isn't a 18.50 (lever) or 18.49 (pin set) as it is a stem set. Same calibre, I just don't know the number.

Closeup of the side lever with English style integral pallets and the counter weight. Pretty.

My Mrs picked up one of those slightly larger Lanco's at a watch fair last year for something like £15!!

It's in good condition, keeps good time and looks good on her wrist........a no-brainer for that money!!

Some interesting pick ups there Trim, and the dial on that trench watch is nice

Looking forward to seeing the finished results, and what you had to do to them?!!
