    Re: trench watch find !!

o.k.....so someone i know has just bought a house and is in the process of fixing it up before moving in.........and they found this......i gave the case a polish as it was black.....generally in o.k. condition except for one ding......i said that i would find as much info as possible about it for them.......so far it seems to be imported ....assayed in london in 1912 .....robert pringley and sons........does this all seem correct.......the watch is not working and is 30 mm across...........the pattern around the outside is nice.

so.....is it correct to call this a trench watch....what does the E mean on the case back........also what is the small pusher / button for below the crown......any info about the movement would be usefull as would absolutley any info at all about the watch.....i hope you guys like it........a good find i would say......

    trench watch find !!

It's a nice find. Given its a ladies watch I wouldn't call it a trench watch. Cylinder escapement and perhaps made by A Schild. However that is a little speculative so don't assume it's correct.

The pusher below the crown allows you to change the time. The E doesn't mean anything, it's just a reference for the manufacturer. I have a number in similar cases but yours is nice in having sub seconds.
