Is this tritium or radium on this Timex Electric?

Would this be tritium or radium on this dial here? Worried it was radium since I removed the case back several years ago(didn't touch the dial). What do you guys think?

Only see the tiny dots of lume on the dial.

The hands Might be tritium but probably some timex lume like lumebrite. Highly doubt it is radium.

Would it have been dangerous to have it ope, i.e breathing in particles? Had it open about 5 years ago tinkering with it..now I'm a bit paranoid..

More or less everyone switched from Radium to Tritium in the early 60's and this watch is from the 70's so no danger at all. Also if you inhale Tritium half of it will have left the body within 12 days and so on and Tritium has a half life of ca 12 years so it's much weaker now then when the watch was new. I doubt it has Tritium though as most put a "T" on the dial a 6 o clock to tell it has Tritium.

Well if it's "electric" is well out of the radium period....

    This is incorrect.

The production and use of radium well overlaps the development and manufacture of electrics.

This is reflected in not only the dates of Timex production and those of its competitors but the cleanup reports of Luminous Processes and its competitors as well.

Well it's a basic generalization as Radium was phased out in the very early sixties and electric mass production came much later...More than happy to see the evidence to support your statement to educate us all albeit your statement may only represent a part of the overall industry...???

    thanks in advance
