    Twins! -Bulova content

It's official, I now own two of the same watch. This guy came in the mail yesterday and came from the bay. I hope I didn't outbid any of you but I had to have it. It is a sleek grey dialed 1961 Bulova whose model is unknown for now. I've only ever seen 3 for sale, which I bought 2 of, and one on MyBulova.
The watch has a nice matte grey dial with applied indices and silver hands. The case isn't steel but white gold plated. It has Bulovas 11AFAC automatic movement and is ticking away nicely. This example isn't as pristine as my previous example but that's ok because this one will get worn unlike the other. Enjoy the pics

Very handsome 61 and 63! If its a Bully then I pretty much like it. Going to keep the mesh band on it?

Thank you! You can notice some slight differences in them with the crowns, logo and fonts. I am going to keep the mesh band, it sets it apart from its brother. It is a Kestenmade band that came from a different Bulova.

if I were to become a Bulova fanatic-these are exactly what I would be looking for-as well as some of their late 50s to early 70s divers.

From 55' to about 70' is the sweet spot for the mechanicals for me and 60' to 75' for the Accutrons. The designs and movement quality are prime.

I like any Bulova Automatics from 55 to about 78, after that, I dont like how they look. As for Accutrons, I dont buy 214s at all. They really need the downvolted Accucells and my friends that have them have had a lot more problems then I do with my 218s and 219s. My wife has a 221 and a 230 that run great. Its a shame that I really dont like any modern Bulovas for men as they are WAY too big for me. My wife has two 90s Marine Stars for women and they look really nice but I just sold a 2014 Highbridge in blue that I loved the picture of but at 41mm I just could not stand it so I sold it less than a month later.

Definitely agree with the size of the modern pieces. I would love to get a new precisionist but the size keeps me away and I have two other new models that don't get much wear. I've had four 2210s, 2 Mens and 2 ladies and all of them need some kind of work. It's the 60s styles like the one above that really do it for me though.
