Looks to me like Swiss probably around 1900. Might be a cylinder escapement. Hartmut Richter is our expert on cylinder movements so I'll defer to him.
The hands and case are typical of the Art Nouveau era.

    Re: Two Pocket Watches

I can't see enough of the Urania to tell whether it's a cylindre escapement. However, it only seems to have three wheels in the geartrain so the fourth is probably the "anchor substitute" hiding close to the balance which would suggest a cylindre escapement.

There is a watchmaker/-seller and jeweller located in München (Munich, Bavaria, Germany), on the Karlsplatz originally and maybe even now still located there, which is called "Huber". This still exists and recently had its 150th anniversary (it was founded in 1856). They sold watches of renowned brands, sometimes with their own name on the dial (rather like Tiffanys, e.g. "Cartier - Tiffanys" or "Patek Philippe - Tiffanys") but also made their own watches with generic movements which they sold under a variety of brand names. Brunner/Pfeiffer-Belli's big, fat, trilingual book on wristwatches states that from about 1930, their top range line was branded "Urania". Now I do know that this watch looks anything but top line (sorry to be so blatantly honest - still a nice timepiece!), nor is it post 1930. Still, there seems to be a possibility that Urania was used by Huber somewhat earlier than this as a brand name for a pocket watch line.

Thanks for answering. No insult taken. I do not hink that is is a high grade watch either, just wanted to find out more about it, while trying at the same time, to bring it back to life. So far can't seem to find anything on it.

    Re: Two Pocket Watches

After some searching, I believe I've found the origines of my Cymrex Pocket Watch. Here is the link:http://www.fundinguniverse.com/compa...y-History.html
So it is plausable that my watch is from the late 20s, and was probably given to a sales person as an award for his/her achievements.
Now to find actual pictures of the movement of watch. I'm still trrying to piece this watch together, since it was given to me in pieces.
