    Ultrathin Tudor for 300 bucks

It's a very thin watch, 6mm apparently. It houses a hand wind movement inside a golden plated 33mm case (excluding crown).

There's no seconds hand. The logo is still the rose, so it is pre 1970 (you don't say!). One can read 'Royal' (but not Oyster) and, beneath, the legend 'shock

It seems that the seller has a very good reputation...
It's offered in Mexico for the equivalent to 350 usd. Despite not having its original strap, it does look like a good deal, right?

    Which model is this?

    Thanks!

Can't help you with the model, I'm afraid (Tudor "Royal"?!) but the movement is obviously a Tudor improvement on the Peseux 7000 family:

Re: Ultrathin Tudor for 300 bucks

    I suspect a fake
Dial looks reworked with poor Tudor emblem
    Rolex crown looks wrong
Movement is not (I think) correct TUDOR marking

Indeed the movement is held in place with washers to allow it to fit! Surely NOT original or TUDOR standards

My 1st impression, without research is a fake

    Sorry

Well, now that adam comes to mention it, the "Tudor" engraving on the movement does look a bit trashy.....

Check out the shock protection on the balance. Heck, check out those gold chatons.

Are you saying that makes it a Tudor.
    Is dial correct.
Is movement correct to that case.

Chatons are probably brass, but that is irrelevant

    Is watch a genuine Tudor

    Ultrathin Tudor for 300 bucks

I was noticing that there was no shock protection and the chatons looked damaged. I can't judge if it's real or not- don't know much about old Tudors, which it definitely would have to be for no shock protection.

I should mention that since the dial says "shock resisting", it's a pretty safe bet the movement isn't original.

The way I read it, will_f was being sarcastic, pointing out the (fake) chatons and the (East European?!) shock proofing to demonstrate that practically no bit of this watch is up to Tudor standard, even though a large number of bits are trying to look that way.
