Heck, I don't even know how to get the back off of it. It's lovely and it works. Ulyssee Breting. I have the key to wind it. No idea how to access the hole.
There's locomotive engraved on the back.
I looked up the company and know that it must be pre 1876.
    Hopefully the photo posts well.
    Thanks for your help.

Ummm, key? Looks like it has a crown, so that would make it stem-wound... No setting pin, so stem or lever set.

Movement pictures please, I can't make bricks without clay.

There should be a seam on the back of the watch that you carefully open to reveal the movement.

In the meantime, I found this entry in the Ranfft archive:
bidfun-db Archive: Watch Movements: Ulysse Breting 19'''H6.5
The movement itself is of course unrelated, but the interesting thing is, that there's quite a bit of info on the manufacturer in the description. Looks like Ulysse Breting went out of business in 1891, so the watch was made before that.

Case style doesn't really suggest pre 1891 so it might be a key wind in a newer case.

More photos of the case back and sides might help us tell you how to open it.

Watch wiki states that in 1891, the company didn't fold. That was the year Ulysse Breting died. Since in Switzerland at that time, a company had to be named after the owner (regardless of what was written on the dial - cf. George Favre-Jacot as company name vs. Zenith, Billodes, Defi or Diogene as brand names), it may well have simply changed name after 1891. Nevertheless, it is difficult to track something further down about the company on the internet.....

Having said that, since the name on the dial is clearly "Ulysse Breting, Locle", it would have to be from the original company (unless it became a brand name thereafter). Although it does seem to be early 20th century going by the style, I do think that ca. 1890 is still plausible. Let's wait and see what's inside (movement and inner case back writing).

You might want to watch this video:

My guess would be a movement similar to this one. Looks to be extremely high grade.
