Question Ulysse Nardin - Fake or Real?

Just got this from a seller on eBay and I'm wondering if it is a genuine Ulysee Nardin. Can anyone help?

Wouldn't it if been better to wonder before buying?

I'm suspicious of the coarse and sloppy logo. For example, look at the "N" and the "A" - they are very sloppy. And the way the "I" and "N" bleed together. Also, it seems as though the minute marker lines are actually painted onto the applied hour markers, which seems strange. The engraving on the movement is similarly crude. I'm wondering if the whole thing isn't just a fake.

The case patent (313813) is for Ganster Compression Case (the original compressor) with the 472716 being associated with Omega. The compressor is used on dive watches and yours doesn't look like a dive watch (though quality watch cos will use quality parts)

Your next step is some research on what Omega watches used this case and if UN made a model like yours in compressor.

If it isn't genuine, and depending what you paid for it, and if it is an early Omega compressor case then it will have some value though no idea what.

And was the seller in South America? If so probably a mishmatch at best...

I think you have good reason to doubt this one. It appears to be a redial, for a start. The misplaced spacing of the minute chapter and the way it has been overprinted on the applied indicies is very suspect, as is the thick and bleeding printing of "Ulysee Nardin", etc. Then you have the odd way the rotor has been engraved.

I'd say a redial for sure. An overall fake? Possible. So many vintage UNs are not what they purport to be.

Fake or real? No, a real fake.

    Printing? Children's stamping set.

Thanks for the feedback. Nobody has really addressed the movement. Anybody know what movement this is and did UN use these?
    Thanks Monti

Perhaps you could take clearer photos of the movement, and specifically try to capture any numbers underneath the balance wheel.

Since we've already established it to be fake you can make some assumptions.

Once you you know the seller has falsified information, it's all a guess from there.
He could have taken any watch movement and put a UN winding wheel on it.
It could be a real UN movement.
It could be Chinese made copy.

Based on the seller and what you been told so far, what is your guess?

    Go with your here.
