A question, if I may. I've spotted a Universal Geneve Polerouter in reasonable condition. Looks to be ~1960's vintage? It runs well, but I realize it should be serviced. Inside, everything looks fine, if a little grubby. The tiny rotor spins freely. Dial has a few little dots and a light patina, but looks good. Case is stainless and has the usual nicks and scratches, but no damage. Plastic crystal, about the same.
This is the model:
I know it's impossible to tell, but would $100 be reasonable to pay? He wanted $150, but I wrangled him down to 100.
Is servicing these microrotor movements much more difficult and expensive than regular movements?
Thanks! I really like this watch; I realize it will need servicing, and I need to know if $100 is a reasonable price as is.
