Unknown Swiss Watch - most likely from 50's

First of all - Hello :)

I have this watch thats been sitting in the desk for years -> my grandfather received from some important guy in Sweden in late 1950's while he was there as Mining Engineer.

It broke down - and as far as I know nobody in Communist Poland knew how to fix it - so it stayed in desk for ~40years.

Anybody know what can it be and if its worth restoring?Name: IMG_3513.jpg

It is unsigned, but the movement appears to be a Landeron 39, or something similar: bidfun-db Archive: Watch Movements: Landeron 39

From what i read its a popular movement so it shouldn't be very hard to fix

Not such a common movement actually. But hopefully it will still be an easy fix.

The Landeron 48 series (incl. Cals. 148 & 248) is the extremely common movement series. This one is from the days that Landeron still made column wheel chronograph movements. As such, parts are probably hard to come by if you need them. But then, with any luck, it will just need a decent clean and service.
