    Unmarked gold case p.w. German?

    Seller knows little about this that resembles a much cheaper version of a 1900 16 size Assmann Gruen. Was there a low cost German source at that time that made this?

    Around 1900 all German companies would have used hallmarks for gold cases. No marks anywhere?

    Good question for seller. Box is German dealer. Case marked Ancre De Precision 14K .585. and I guess other marks. Will ask. Case seems like Swiss/French. Wonder if it is a Swiss copied German movement plate pattern?

    Hi artb,

    it is Swiss made to meet German preferences - often called "Syteme Glashütte".

    I suspect the ebauche for this one came from FHF, but I'm still not sure.
