Very interesting story on PBS History Detectives tonight...

Not about a clock or a pocket watch, but it does discuss how the railroad time standard was enacted and how such watches were regulated in the mid-1800's:

If you are from Chicago, you should be even more interested in this bit of history.

I saw it and agree it's an interesting story. Another interesting story was on Pawn Stars it was about a 17th century portable sun dial. I wonder if that would fit this Forum? It's certainly vintage and it is a pocket time piece.

So much for me being the one to post about tonight's episode. I'm glad I'm not the only one that saw it. Antiques Roadshow has some vintage clocks and watches every now and then...some lady once had two Pateks which they valued for her. I try to watch it whenever I can.

Very interesting episode. Cherry must be very proud to own such a fine pendulum clock.

    I know I would be!
