Very rare lepine caliber with verge escapement!!!

    Hi
I've recently purchased this pocket watch movement. It is the rarest I actually have. It is the Lépine caliber I. Has a verge escapement fitted in it!! The fusee chain stop work is also rare. I thing this type is called sliding or something similar. Look at the photos. Could Jean-Antóine lépine had make thos movement? (Is like a prototype)
Could you help me? I am very confused...
    Thanks

    Outstanding
I'd looked within Pocket watches out of four centuries from Adolphe Chapiro and didn't see a simular combination. Unfortunately I'm not a technic freak and have nearly no knowledge about those early rarities. May be I'd just didn't found it. Unfortunately I don't own (unil now) the A. Chapiro about Antoine Lepine. I just know he build around 6000 watches within is live and round about 500 should be exist nowadays.

Thank you for showing this peace

I didn't remember to post a photo that seems to have a "signature". Is a kind of flower. Is in the right bottom place of the photo.Name: image.jpg

Even with next to no knowledge of Verge movements (I have one going to England for a service) I know a thing of beauty when I see it. Is it mid-18th C? Levine was born in 1720 and died in 1814. When might he have created this, assuming he is responsible for it?

    Thanks for teaching.

Fantastic pieces you are sharing so I hope that you won't mind expanding on the pieces as you restore them so that those of us who are not yet experienced in this area can learn more.

We have some members who will have more knowledge in these watches so if you are patient then hopefully they will drop by.
