    Vintage Bedford Wrist Watch

    Hello,

I just recently bought this at a yard sale. I can't find a lot on it. I am just looking for some information about it. It currently does not run, is it worth getting it running again? It also is marked nickel silver inside.

    Thanks!

Well, the case is made by American Watch Case Co. The dial looks in good shape
There are people here that are experts in these watches, they will chime in.

    Re: Vintage Bedford Wrist Watch

    Hi
Very nice original piece, white enamel dial, red 12 from circa 1915 to 1920s

The BEDFORD watch Co, was from New York and Chicago
They had their own brand of Swiss import marked Bedford Watch Co
They also imported, Jewelset, Sothin, and Venus, they were still listed in 1929-1930

    Hope that helps

I just saw a few of these and they called them "trench watches" but I'm no expert in these types of watches. Slowly growing interested though.

So called "trench watch" is fine, for a long time we considered only pieces that had seen trenches to be called so, other we (I) termed 'so called' trench watches.
We now have adverts where they were surely called "trench watches" and your design and style falls into that.
If it ever saw WWI action, I have no idea, but its OK to term a trench watch
    Enjoy
