    Vintage Birks Lady watch

    Hi guys,

First post here and I hope someone able to help. Recently I received this Birks lady watch from passing family. I did some Google research but no luck. It is manual winding and got an interesting dial.

    Thanks!

Birks is/was a Canadian jewelery store. No info on your watch other than to say they retailed many own brand watches.

If you can get the back off and take a movement shot perhaps we will be able to give a little more information.

I believe it's an FHF 69-21. They were really widely used in women's dress style watches like this.

Your link seems to be wrong. But in any case, it's more likely to be an Adolf Schild (or AS ST, or Standard , or even Durowe) movement based on the old AS 1012. This one is more modern, though:

Link corrected. Jury's out without seeing keyless works.

Had another look, think you're right! The AS balance cock is about the same shape as the OP's.

In actual fact, the entire movement shape and size of the AS 1012 and FHF 69 differ. The AS 1012 only has straight edges at the end with the sides being regularly curved, while the FHF 69 has straight sides going from the bulge in the middle towards the end parts.
