    Question VINTAGE: Brand Oriental

Hello everyone. This is my first post in the forum after being a simple visitor for a couple months. I'm here in the Vintage theme to ask this forum for some help.

Out of the blue, past Friday, I found two mechanical watches back at home. A Zenith in very poor state from the 40's and one watch from a brand named Oriental which looked to be averagely good state. It's an automatic with seconds sub-dial where numbers are beautiful. The dial shows just a small patina, it may have spent most of its life inside a drawer. If I'm not wrong, the Incablocs started be used in the 70's so this is my only time reference. Not knowing anything about Oriental (note that it's not Orient), I tried to search more about the brand but I found close to nothing.

Here's the watch below with a brand new strap.

The reason why I'm asking for help is to get to know something about the brand because the internet doesn't seem to help me. I even asked sellers who have Oriental watches for some background but they also don't know a thing about it.

On Chrono24 there's just two different results:
    - A Diver's
    - A Chronograph

I read somewhere (though I can't pinpoint it right now) that the brand was somehow related with Wittnauer-Longines but not sure if I can believe that.

Has anyone here came across an Oriental watch before?

Hmmmm. Yes, Wittnauer did have a brand called "Oriental" - but then, so did Omega (in the "Louis Brandt" days, although that was "Oriental Watch"). The best way of telling would be to have it opened up and see the movement inside.

......as did Innocente Binda of Milan, per Mikrolisk.

EDIT: Amongst other territories, the Binda Group has a subsidiary in Portugal, if Wikipedia is to be believed. Perhaps just a coincidence!

Incabloc was invented in the 1930s, and while it wasn't heavily used immediately, you will find many 1940s watches with Incabloc protection. By 1950 it was very widely used.

I've left it at a repair shop to work on it.

I know it's not the best photo but it was the only one I was able to take.

Well, since this was bought in Portugal, that could totally be it!

The movement is a Unitas. Hard to tell from the photo, but something like a 6310 or family.
