    Vintage bug has bitten

    Hello everyone,
I have really come to like some of the older calendar date watches lately. Here is a small gathering of some date and non date watches. The Gruen and Benrus are my favorites.

The three strapless top to bottom: Alfa, Gruen, Benrus
The strapped right to left: Hamilton (notice how the supposed pro watch person installed the strap incorrectly), Hamilton, Beltex, Benrus

All great watches the three strapless all need to be restored though. The Pan American I got for a song so it was well worth it.

A very nice selection there. You've sure got an eye for fancy lugs!

    Hi -

Congrats on that PanAm! The one I have is substantially similar, and remains one of my favorite watch designs. Doesn't get much wrist time, as it is a tad too small, but I do bring it out for special meetings and the like, usually when meeting new or potential customers (I'm in the financial services industry). Hard to be beat...

Very nice overall collection as well...darn good start!

    Thanks everyone!
The watches are in much better shape in person than with my picture talking abilities. The Benrus pictured on the strap actually came with an original red plastic presentation box and red outer cardboard box too.
    Thanks again

I have the sibling of the Benrus (not on the strap). A very fun watch to wear due to the mechanical wonder it is and the cool lugs!
