    Vintage CAMY watch with alarm

    Hi,
I'm new to the forum and thought I would post some pics of a watch I have obtained to see if any of you are interested or know any further details. It is a CAMY watch, probably with a similar mechanism to the other CAMY alarm watches mentioned on forums/seen on ebay. This one doesn't look like any that I can find photo's of - notably it has narrow lugs for the size of the watch (about 8.5mm). I have no idea what the original strap would have been like (stainless bracelet?) The rear of the casing is inscribed with the Camy logo and 7809, and 'all stainless steel water resistant incabloc antimagnetic swiss made'. Seems well made and certainally tough - the watch was sitting in a tin of dirty water outside, but has cleaned up nicely and keeps good time. Thanks for looking!

my guess with the movement would be A. Schild 5007 , the raised hour markers and case calls the 70's.

The AS 5007 was automatic and there is no indication on the dial of automatic winding. On top of that, the Cal. 5007 was merely a prototype to the Cal. 5008 (day-date) with very few being made. I therefore believe that the most likely movement is an Adolf Schild Cal. AS 1931:

You right actually Hartmut, I just assumed its automatic, the whole thing looks like that. Also this AS watch made me confused with the Cyma, they are extremely similar.I was trying to buy this but the buyer was on the clouds with price.

The OP could give us more info.If not automatic I agree 1431. And reply for the OP,yes I think the original bracelet would be SS which you can find easily something to fit in bay.

Hi, the watch is manual wind, and the movement is non-hacking and non-quickset date.
