Vintage Corum Admirals Cup Identification - PLEASE HELP

Can anyone identify this Corum Admirals Cup Quartz? its a mens watch, I would put it at about 32-36mm. I can't seem to find it anywhere. Also if you have an estimated value, that would be great!

There's a thread on these in here:

Looks very 1990s to me. Late 1980s can also be a possibility here.
We do not provide valuations- sorry.

I appreciate your link. But this is the problem I have with authenticating or identifying it. It isn't one of the nautical flag ones. This one seems to have a normal dial, which I can't seem to find anywhere. The guy says it is a special edition, yet I don't see any numbers on the back to show that.

I have also noticed the "s" in Admiral's seems to look different then others, but is comparable to some I see on eBay. Maybe it changed over the years? Also this one seems to only say "swiss" while all others seem to say swiss made...

Any one else have any input? do you think its maybe a fake?

Ask to see the inside caseback and movement.

He doesn't feel comfortable opening it. But he did say that I can take a look at the caseback and movement before making the trade. I will definitely open it up. What should it look like inside?

Since Corum don't make their own movements (possible exception: "Golden Bridge" - but that is a bone of contention, especially since the design is by Vincent Calabrese rather than Corum), it should have a highly finished ETA movement inside. For an ordinary three hands plus date watch, the ETA 2892A2 is the most likely contender.

"He doesn't feel comfortable opening it"?
    This just doesn't sound good.
Opening it just before the deal is made doesn't sound good to me either. There were some swindlers at fleamarkets who tried to imply that if they have opened the case, then I should buy the watch. As if that was anything of an argument! And I have always walked away from these.
I'm not well-versed in quartz, not to mention that this watch isn't really vintage. Sort of a minimum is 30 years or older for a watch to be referred to as vintage.
No idea what should you expect inside- hopefully someone else will know.

Oh, my mistake - if it's quartz, it will have an ESA-ETA quartz movement inside.
