Vintage Elgin Watch Possibly Unique Quick Set Date

I'm not quite sure where to post this and I'm not also an expert on watches, so I hope it's okay that I made a new thread for this one. This is a vintage automatic Elgin watch with a quick set date feature. But instead of pulling the crown out, the crown needs to be pressed down and quite easily too. One can go through the dates with ease, with just a push of a button. I'm not quite sure if this is a unique set-up to change the date, just wanted to share and know about it. Possibly unique? Or not...........

Seiko has the same thing on most of their vintage models, push in and it moves the date, some with the day date function work (I can't remember how now but it does work I've seen it and I was amazed) they work on a double click system where you can change the date and the day with pushing the crown in, it was really cool :D

I also don't think it's unique because the watch in question dates to after Elgin stopped making movements and simply cased off-the-shelf movments from A. Schild, LIP and others.

The giveaway is the 'E' logo. That and the 'T Swiss T' at the bottom.

Thank you for the infos, they are really appreciated. I just wish the same configuration was kept with modern watches. It's easier and convenient.
