    Vintage Girard Perregaux

Greetings all.....first ever post / this watch below looks awesome to me......but the posting seems oddly limited ( only one picture )....otherwise I love vintage watches and I think this one is very pretty

I like older European or British trench watches too and some of the older Russian ones. Any opinions or advice on finding one similar ?...this one seems risky to bid on to me :

The movement and case leave me unsettled... but the dial is indeed beautiful. Edit: I see it is from a vendor I once dealt with in Argentina. Avoid.

As to finding specific pieces you want.... patience. And patience. And patience. I set up eBay searches and get the emails every day. For some of the searches I get lots of hits but no watches I want. For some I get one hit a year if that...

Who is the company behind it? Why are they using this material?
People need to be able to identify the watch with themselves. It's based on emotion." - Ralph Furter

...that's just my opinion and I've been wrong before and will be again and might be now!

thanks !.......it was making my spidersense tingle.....but I don't know why.....maybe that "too good to be true" tingle. My friend Mysterian ( member name here )got me looking at watches lately and now I can't help staring at all the more exotic vintage models. I must learn.
