Vintage Hamilton Serial Numbers vs Production Dates

For obvious reasons (well, at least one) I love Hamilton "Donalds". I've gone through 2 different ones from the bay as I tried to figure out what I'm looking for in the watch.
Now I'm wondering if there is a Hamilton production date by serial number chart some place. I believe they stopped producing that model in '51 or '52, but, being born in '53 I would certainly be willing to take a beating for a "birth year watch" with my name! Any help is always appriciated-

    Don

Here's another table more appropriate to a "Donald" which has, I believe, a 982 movement:

    Hamilton Serial Numbers

I think that the 982 went out of production in 1951 so you might be out of luck on that one.

    Thanks guys !!!

Ray that is most likely the closest to exactly what I want. I had suspected that the closest I could get to a 1953 manufacture date was a watch that had sat around awhile and then was engraved in 1953 so that is outstanding. Even better though, is the fact that it was given by Eastman Kodak. I was a photographer before dragging down the reputation of my present profession so I really prefer that to the usual Armstrong flooring or some cork company that you see.
I haven't dealt with the dealer before so I'll keep my fingers crossed.
    THANKS AGAIN.

Thanks JimH for a better chart for Hamilton wristwatches.

This appears to be one situation where an engraved case is of value to the buyer. Hope it works out for you, Don.
I don't know much about the seller either but I thought it was interesting that the watch you were looking for had indeed been presented in the year of interest.

I think the "1953" Donald linked by Ray is your best bet. The Donald was equipped with the 982M movement, which ceased production in 1951.
