Vintage Hamilton Thin-O-Matic Expert Opinion Needed

I received my vintage thin-o-matic the other day and have some concerns. When I bought the watch from a reputable vintage dealer, I never paid much attention to the cushion case. It looked to be in good shape and, if there was an issue, I can return it. When it arrived, I was surprised how fresh the dial looked. For some reason, that got me to looking at the case and realized I'd never seen a TOM with a cushion case. I did a little research and I've still never seen one. While I still have time, I like to know if it's a thin-o-matic or just a TOM dial. I don't want to crack open the case because I want to be able to return it, if necessary.
    I appreciate your thoughts

I have also never seen a Thin-O-Matic with a cushion case either, but that doesn't mean they don't exist. A Hamilton expert can help you there. I do think the dial appears to sit weird in the case. It might just be the angle but is there a gap between the dial and case?

There doesn't appear to be a gap. It looks like the dial is seated consistently, all around.

Ok upon further research it appears that there are in fact Thin-O-matics with case shapes other than round.

    That is 100% correct!

I believe that the case and dial is almost identical to the Gemini B Electric in the same 1966 catalog.

Almost all of the older Hamilton catalogs are available here:

    Hope this helps,
