I have the opportunity to buy this Heurer Autavia chronograph. I can attest that it runs well and the chronogrpah works. The bezel is a little scratched and the chronograph hand is a little oxidized. The caseback has usual signs of wear and age and says it is waterproofed to 350 feet.
They are asking $7,000, which seems high considering eBay comps in better condition are in the neighborhood of $5,500. I've asked to see the movement so that I can research the movement type and year, number made, etc.
So, what do folks think? Based on what you see, is it worth that price? What sort of additional homework should I do beyond movement examination?
