I recently got this vintage Timex very cheaply to mess around with, perhaps try my hand at changing the crystal, etc. The watch is a mechanical and has been running strong and keeping accurate time. I've tried to find a way to ID it but all that is on the dial is "Timex" and there is nothing under the 6. The case back says "assembled in Taiwan" and "waterproof" and the inside of the case back says "HTP" and "France".
Any ideas what model it is and approximate age?
Also, why have the small removable case back when it's a front loading watch?
Thanks in advance.
