    Vintage Longines Tank Watch Question

Hi Everyone, I'm writing about another vintage Longines - this one a tank style watch. Any information you may be able to provide about this watch model, year, etc. would be greatly appreciated. I'm also wondering whether it appears to be original or if any parts - like the dial - may have been replaced or redone? I've been looking to pick-up a nice vintage Longines but just want to be sure that I'm not looking at something that isn't all there. Thanks in advance, again, for all of your help!Best,Desmond

This one sort of looks like a fake Cartier with Longines painted on the dial.

The dial and movement look correct, though I am a bit confused by the front of the case. Why does the left side appear to be hollowed out?

Re: Vintage Longines Tank Watch Question

Maybe I'm not doing a good job of searching, but I can't find any Longines that looks like this, and it's suspiciously exactly like a Cartier. If I were considering buying this, I would want to confirm that Longines actually made a gold tank watch with no second hand, in a gold case with a jeweled crown. It could be a fake.

    Exactly
Hence a movement shot or model number

Not sure why could it be fake

Everyone was knocking-off cartier tanks, why longines couldn't? :)

    Another in similar style
